Remote & Travel Jobs perfect for nomads

  1. Camp Hosting - This is often the first job people consider when considering full-time RV life. It’s an excellent way to lower the overall costs of RVing but there are many pros and cons. We hosted at two campgrounds and enjoyed it.

These positions can be paid or volunteer positions with a free site. If you are considering camp hosting, check our blog, CAMP HOSTING EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW.

  2. Outpost Sweet Treats - This sweet place is a candy store on the west side of Yellowstone. They hire seasonal workampers each year. It is an example of a seasonal position for RVers.

  3. Work at National Park - Workamper positions are available around the US. Getting your foot in the door at the best parks can be challenging, but you can always start at a smaller national park. Imagine spending the season in Yellowstone or Yosemite! Check out How to Get a National Park Camp Host Job on the RV Life blog for more details.

  4. Online Teaching - There are numerous opportunities for teaching remotely. Not all positions require a degree in education, although some may require training. The options are endless: language, music, business skills, or anything really!

  5. Seasonal Employee - There are many opportunities for seasonal workers. You can choose from amusement parks like Dollywood, ski instructor in Colorado or bartend in Key West, pumpkin farms, sugar beet farms, Christmas tree farms, security at concerts, host on a train in the Rockies, gift wrapper, security, or parking attendant. The options here are endless, and many don’t require special skills. You just need a little imagination and flexibility.

  6. Mobile RV Technician or Inspector - This option is fantastic but requires training. Phil is certified as a Mobile RV tech and RV inspector and recommends the National RV Training Academy. Our friend, Jay, took the training and is a certified RV inspector with a thriving business! He also provides training in-person and online for new RV owners! BTW if you are looking for an RV inspector or need some RV help, Jay at RV Pro Solutions can help!

  7. Disaster Relief Insurance Claims Adjuster - You can find these jobs posted all over the place by all the top insurance companies. These jobs require you to go to an area impacted by a disaster like a hurricane or tornado and assess homes or cars for the insurance companies.

  8. Virtual Assistant - More of these positions are popping up as companies realize the benefit of contracting remote workers. You don’t need a ton of skills or experience for this job. Basic knowledge of Word or Excel and excellent organizational skills may be all you need to land the perfect job.

  9. Online Coaching - If you have specific experience that you can share with others, then you can provide business, lifestyle, or even health coaching.

  10. RV Transport - This is an interesting option. I have met a few people who transport RVs, and they love this option for life on the road.

  11. Mobile RV & Car Detailing - RVers are always looking for someone to wash their RV. You can work for yourself or a nationwide company. You can also join a company as a contractor for referrals to help build your business.

  12. Temp Jobs - People usually forget about temp jobs when considering remote positions. You can find temp jobs nationwide for any length of time. This is an excellent option as you travel the country.

  13. Social Media Creator Support - Content creators are popping up everywhere! From bloggers to Youtubers, once they grow, they need help! You might be the perfect person for research, script writing, event planning, social media, SEO, and more.

  14. Data entry - This can easily be done from the comfort of your home on wheels and usually does not require experience.

  15. Customer Service Associate - If you have reliable cell service, this might be the job for you. There are so many companies online that are always in need of customer service help. You can take orders over the phone or resolve customer issues from the comfort of your couch!

  16. Travel Agent - This might be a great option for travel lovers! Our friend Christina did just this when she hit the road. She purchased a franchise with a travel agency and has a great business on the road. PS: If you are looking for a travel agent for your next vacation, she will be happy to help. 18. Driver for a Moving Company - Hop in a truck and head out across the country as you deliver household goods for a family.

  19. Hotel Staff - Working for a hotel will allow you to go just about anywhere! Many large hotel chains will allow you to transfer within their company to other locations.

  20. Live Chat Specialist - We have all seen these while browsing the internet. They are basically the same as customer service agents, but they handle everything via that chat box instead of phones!

  21. Apple at Home Advisor - I bet you didn’t even know this existed! Are you an apple addict like Phil? Then this might be your jam. This is Apple’s version of support and service. So, if you want a job with Apple, apply!
