How the TSD open road RV fuel Card Works

Example of Open Roads card

Open Roads Fuel Savings Card

  • Your RV Fuel savings will fluctuate based on fuel prices and contracts between TSD Logistics and the fuel companies.

  • The price of diesel fuel can change many times each day.

  • According to TSD Open Roads, you can save an average of 0.30-0.40 per gallon, but we have seen savings up to $1 per gallon.

  • Although you can purchase DEF and other items with your card, discounts only apply to fuel.

  • The card can be used at truck stops nationwide, including Loves, TA, Kwik Trip, Kwik Star, Petro, and more.

  • The free app TSD Open Roads maps the truck stops in your area and shows the current fuel prices. (Apple and Android)

  • The app tracks your spending and discounts.

  • Choose the cheapest fuel price (after the discount) along your route for the most significant savings.

  • Open Roads is free.

  • The Open Roads card is a debit card, not a credit card.

  • This program is for diesel fuel savings from the trucker lanes, not regular gasoline.

  • A fee of 0.40 may appear on some transactions. The gas station, not Open Roads, charges the fee. We have not seen this fee.

How Does Open Roads Make Money

Open Roads takes 10% of your discount. For example, we saved $19.90 from Pilot, and TSD kept $1.90.

why ssn

  • To open an account, you must provide your social security and bank account numbers.

  • If you pump fuel but your account does not have enough to cover the cost of the fuel, Open Roads will use your SSN to find you for payment.

  • They do not do a credit check with your SSN.

Why we don’t Worry

  • TSD Open Roads is not a new company. It has been around since 1980.

  • They work with large companies such as Michelin, Goodyear, and Firestone.

  • If you are still nervous, you can open a separate checking account just for your Open Roads card, which we did. If TSD Open Roads is ever hacked, they will only gain access to this account, not our primary checking.

  • TSD works hard to keep your account secure and prevent hacking.

apply to save

  • It takes about 1-3 weeks for processing.

  • Once you are approved, your card will be mailed to you.
