Why red bay is the best

We have two of the best reasons to do your RV repairs and upgrades here!

Price

The prices here are half to a fourth of what you will pay at other RV repair centers throughout the country.

Supplies

When it comes to repairs, these guys are stocked with common consumables. You won't have to wait for days or weeks for parts to arrive because they keep the basics on hand.

Larger Companies around Red Bay

Girard awnings

We had a Girard Awning mounted on our driver's side slide in Red Bay a couple of years ago. It took 20 minutes and was worth every penny! You can have your Girard awnings repaired here or have new ones mounted.

Did you know having your awnings repaired or installed here is cheaper than in California? We have friends who needed their batwing replaced on their Entegra. Higher taxes and wages increased the repair cost by $3k in CA compared to Red Bay. Since that installation, they have returned several times for other RV maintenance and repairs, including diesel maintenance, floor tile repair, safe T plus installation, and more.

Safe T Plus

Safe T Plus has a shop right here in Red Bay! If you don’t know about Safe T Plus, it’s a steering stabilizer for drivables. Check out our short video for more information on what it can do for your RV.

Custom RV work

Two men working on Ruby's door.

You can have custom cabinets built, bodywork like paint and fiberglass repair, solar installs, tile backsplash, new sinks, and window replacement. And even some unique custom items like painting an American flag on your grill cover or back cap.

You will quickly discover that almost all these shops are small family-owned businesses. They are hardworking, and their handshake and word are binding contracts. Many don’t have websites or credit card machines, but their experience speaks for itself.

Schedules stay packed, so plan ahead! We recommend making big appointments months in advance. Those would be things like diesel maintenance, custom cabinets, and new flooring. But smaller jobs like custom stair treads and simple repairs can be added on once you are here. You can sprinkle the small jobs around the bigger, scheduled maintenance and repairs.

You can always call the shop to see if you need to schedule in advance or upon arrival.

When to come

As you can imagine, it gets very busy here in the spring and summer. Campgrounds fill up, and RVs are everywhere! It also means the side shops are booked and busy. We recommend coming between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Yes, it's a little chilly but the least crowded.
